Applying Learning Theory to Life Kristen Lewis PSY331: Psychology of Learning Nina Dulabaum 2 Feb 2015 Introduction: Learning can be defined as a lasting change in behavior of an entity that is down to the experience gained by the entity. The basic purpose of this paper is to apply the learning principles to by presenting and teaching the information to others in the workforce, to help people learn in the best way. We have to choose the best methods and best principles of learning, to make the learning process most effective. Behaviorism is the concept of conditioning one s behavior and/or response to a stimulus. Behaviorism is one of the theories of learning, which is grounded around the impression that different behaviors can be acquired through applying different conditioning. This conditioning is applied by collaboration with the various aspects of environment. Behaviorism explains that our behaviors can be measured, trained, and changed; depending upon the environment we are provided. Cognitivism: Cognitivism is the theory of psychological learning, in which major emphasizes will be on human intelligence. Cognitivism is a special process which enables a subject to form hypotheses and develop intellectually with the help of proper setup to enhance the intelligence level of the subject. The basic concepts of cognitivism include what we think and how we gain knowledge. Cognitivism examining improves learning, memory, problem solving skills, and intelligence of a person. It defines how our problem solving skill changes throughout our childhood, how cultural differences affect the way we view our academic achievements and our language development.
